Before recording

• Grant While In Use location access.
• Make sure the iPhone has enough charge and a clear view of the sky.
• Start Témoin and confirm the status says Recording before putting the phone away.

If a recording was interrupted

Open Témoin. If a recoverable draft exists, review its time and sample count, then choose Resume or Discard. Resuming preserves the gap as an integrity notice; it never invents a route through missing time.

Understanding notices

A notice means the phone reported limited accuracy, an unusually large jump, or a long time between readings. Outdoors, buildings, terrain, battery conditions, and system scheduling can all contribute. A notice is context, not proof that anything improper occurred.

Exporting

Open a completed session and choose JSON for the complete Témoin record, GeoJSON for mapping tools, or GPX for broad route compatibility. Exported files can contain sensitive locations.

Safety

Témoin does not monitor you, call emergency services, or guarantee that a recording will continue. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services when safe.
